Consultant in Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Medicine
Dr David Whittaker is a dedicated Consultant in Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Medicine. A Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, he is also trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections. Dr Whittaker has extensive experience managing both acute and chronic conditions in athletes and the general population.
He completed his consultant training in London, earning the prestigious Donald McLeod Medal for achieving the highest marks in the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine examinations. Over the years, he has worked with athletes across a range of disciplines, including elite footballers, tennis players, Olympians, and Paralympians.
David has also worked as a doctor at the Lawn Tennis Association and has a particular interest in musculoskeletal problems associated with racquet sports. David works as a substantive consultant at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health, part of University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, alongside central London private practice
