We are currently seeking applications from highly experienced candidates with a relevant degree in Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences for a teaching position, on the ISEH’s Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences programmes (in partnership with UCL, which include BSc students and Medical School students).
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including practical instruction in sport science labs and supervision of laboratory-based student projects.
The Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences teaching programmes have a strong focus on a) the clinical applications of exercise and physical activity for the prevention and management of disease b) the application of exercise in the fields of psychology and neuroscience.
The primary responsibility of the successful applicant will be to teach various subjects in Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences, with a focus on physiology, scientific research methods, and related topics. The role requires delivering high-quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students within the UCL Connected Curriculum framework. This will involve leading multiple modules with significant practical components and supervising student research projects.
This is a full-time position with a workload equivalent to 1 FTE (36.5 hours per week), and the intended start date is August 2023.
While not required, a PhD degree, relevant teaching qualification, or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) would be considered advantageous.
