Dr Ramani Moonesinghe is a full-time NHS consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL and Director of the UCL/UCLH Surgical Outcomes Research Centre. She is a Board Member of the UK’s National Institute for Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA), where she is Academic training advisor and is Deputy Director of the NIAA’s Health Services Research Centre. She is Academic Training Program Director for the London Academy of Anaesthesia, and Faculty Tutor for Critical Care Medicine at UCLH. She was a Council Member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK between 2008 and 2012.
Her research interest is Health Services Research in perioperative medicine, in particular, risk stratification and outcome measurement in major surgery. She is a co-Director of Elegant Design and Solutions Ltd., which is a design and innovation consultancy focusing on humanitarian and healthcare solutions. She is proud to be a founding member of the Bloomsbury Innovation Group.
