Promoting athlete health through the prevention of injury and illness is a key research theme at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH).
While the health benefits of moderate exercise are well documented, exercise training and competition at elite level may significantly increase the health risk to the athlete.
OUR RESEARCH FINDINGS HAVE LED TO PIONEERING TREATMENTS FOR ATHLETES WITH CARDIAC AND RESPIRATORY CONDITIONS
