On Wednesday 27 May the ISEH welcomed England Rugby stars Tom Youngs and Tamara Taylor along with RFU’s Athletic Performance Manager Scott Drawer as part of a rugby media day organised by Promote PR and Wattbike about the Rugby World Cup and the sport science behind elite players.
With the Rugby World Cup only months away the media had the opportunity to meet Tom and Tamara and hear a presentation from Scott Drawer which included a very interesting piece on the science behind the latest bike from Wattbike .
The audience then had the chance to get on a Wattbike bike and test themselves against Tom and Tamara.
Tom who plays for Leicester Tigers also got a surprise when ISEH consultant Dr Kal Parmar and club doctor for Leicester Tigers called in to the event whilst seeing patients at the ISEH.
It was a really interactive and practical event at the ISEH and hope everyone enjoyed the exercise!
