Saracens rugby player Katharine Evans said the institute has been a 'great help' in her recovery. "Women's sports do not have much funding so we don't have access to things like top-class physiotherapists. But this has given me the opportunity to recover from my injury quicker and more thoroughly, going back to rugby feeling prepared and confident."

Katharine is in her third season at Saracens. She started playing rugby at Fullerians in Watford and then went to Vale of Lune, where she played when at university. She has played for 15 years and is being treated at the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health after breaking her right tibia. She is hoping to be back in action early in the new year.
