Mr Nicholas Masucci, FCPodS is the Consultant Podiatrist working at ISEH. With 20 years practice experience he diagnoses and treats a wide variety of foot problems with non-surgical and surgical solutions.

IOC research centre launch


On Thursday the 10 March 2016 Dr Richard Budgett, the Medical and Scientific Director for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially recognised the ISEH together with the NCSEM as one of nine research centres from across the world as an IOC Research Centre for Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health.

Development of a hypermobility and movement screening tool for elite ballet dancers


Moira McCormack is a physiotherapist who has specialised in ballet and works with the dancers of the Royal Ballet Company. She is a former professional dancer herself. Based at the ISEH her research interests are in hypermobility, classical ballet, injury prevention and performance enhancement.

Paediatric service at the ISEH


The ISEH are committed to providing the highest quality of health care provision for people of adult age and for those all-important puberty years too. Young adults aged between 12 and 16 are undergoing hormonal changes but can also be experiencing other ailments which can be disguised as growing pains.

New Year New Honour


The start of 2016 has already got off to a fantastic start for one of the Xtreme Everest and Case Medicine team based at the ISEH. Dr Daniel Martin has been awarded an OBE in recognition of his work at the Royal Free Hospital on their high level isolation ward where several Ebola patients were treated throughout last year.

Multidisciplinary concussion service now available at the ISEH


The ISEH in collaboration with the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, RFU and FA, has established a multidisciplinary concussion service to address this public health need for both the elite population and recreational athletes with ongoing problems after concussion.
