The sixth annual ISEH 5K and 10K run took place in London's beautiful Regent's Park on Sunday 24 June in glorious sunshine.

The 2018 event saw yet again an increase of entries by 25% compared to 2017 with just under 500 people registered with really growing numbers entering the ISEH 2.5K for those new to running or simply wishing to walk which again proved a successful entry point event.

We were delighted to have double Olympian Joslyn Hoyte-Smith in attendance who warmed up the competitors before officially starting the race as well as congratulating the runners as they finished.

The run was a licensed chip timed event and attracted both competitive runners and people who wanted to use the race to test their exercise regimes and become more active something which we are passionate about here at the ISEH.

Runners were supported around the course by enthusiastic marshals and at the end of the race were greeted with a smiley face, a medal and some refreshments.

There were prizes for the first three finishers (male and female) in the both the 5K and 10K races. Congratulations to Grzegorz Opial and Melissah Gibson who came 1st (male and female) in the 10k and each won a free CPEX fitness test at the ISEH and to Jacob Pickle and Nicole Lane who came 1st (male and female) in the 5K.

ISEH 2018 run race times

Well done to all those who participated and others who supported the race, whether by fundraising or volunteering – a big thanks to you all!

A special thank you must go to Angela Tiu who managed to get just under 100 people attending from the UCLH Theatres and Anesthetics Team taking part in the run as a team building exercise and combining it with a fantastic picnic after in the park.
