Innovation in combatting children's inactivity and obesity 2

March 15,2017

This event run by Active Movement is designed for all those who have a role to play in the future well-being of children across all age groups whether in local government, council authorities, Public Health, the education sector or youth support organisations to those working directly with children such as clinicians and researchers in this field, nursery practitioners, infant, primary and secondary teachers, head teachers and educational management.

Delegates will be treated to the insights and experiences of a diverse group of experts and professionals in countering the dangers of too much sitting and too little activity resulting in record figures in obesity, diabetes and emotional distress amongst the young.

What will I get out of the symposium?

By the end of the day, we hope to inspire delegates about the opportunities that exist to support their efforts. You will gain knowledge about the new thinking and new practices that are not shaped merely for the fit or committed, but focus on those who do not have the facilities, funds, self-esteem or physical attributes to enjoy the power of activity.

Our outstanding list of speakers will be talking about their own take on this unique perspective with a series of presentations and panel discussions.
