Dr McCurdie is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise & Rehabilitation Medicine with extensive experience in elite sport. He was Chief Medical Officer for Team GB at the 2012 London Olympic Games, as well as being CMO in Beijing and Vancouver and a doctor with Team GB at the Athens & Sydney Olympic Games. In addition, Dr McCurdie has worked with Team England at two Commonwealth Games, was team doctor with the British Modern Pentathlon team and Davis Cup tennis team and was a member of the Chelsea Football Club medical team. He is currently a member of the medical team for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and ATP World Tour Finals and a sports physician to the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden.
Dr McCurdie’s clinical practice is currently based in central London and at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court in Surrey. His clinical experience reflects his training in General Practice, Rheumatology, Rehabilitation and Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM) as well as his work within the NHS, the military and elite sport. His clinical interests include the management and rehabilitation of exercise related injury and the effective use of multi-disciplinary teams.
