Support for Sporting Organsations

The ISEH can offer sporting organisations highly equipped seminar and meeting rooms for conferences, launches or everyday meetings. For example the ISEH hosted the England Athletics Awards evening in December attracting up to 80 coaches and volunteers who deliver athletics across London. This involved a presentation by the former Olympic marathon runner Mara Yamauchi followed by an excellent networking session.

In addition there are opportunities to be integrated into sport and exercise medicine related research and be exposed to training and teaching. We can also offer sporting organisations a dual pathway to treat their elite athletes and mass participants in the same way and access it in the same place.

Increasing Physical Activity

The ISEH is currently working with UCL on how we could support Camden Council around the monitoring and evaluation of the Camden Active Spaces Project which involves capital investment into a number of school sites over the summer of 2014. The project is designed to encourage greater physical activity among children in these schools.

Elite Sport Service

An access point for elite clubs to reach a doctor led service at the ISEH and Urgent Care Centre seven days a week has been established.  It provides emergency cover on match days for games in London and Wembley. It also provides working time access to imaging at the ISEH and out of hour’s access to the Princess Grace Hospital.

Hosting events

The ISEH can host conferences, launch events and meetings for a wide range of organisations. For example the ISEH hosted the first major event for the charity Move, Eat and Treat whose agenda closely follows the ISEH public health remit. Prof Fares Haddad opened the conference with Dr Mike Loosemore and Dr William Bird also presenting.
